4. Semester

Theme: Final Thesis

In the 4th semester, the main focus is on writing the master thesis. The students work individually or in small groups. The master thesis should aim at synthesizing theories and methods in order to develop a solution to real life problems related to geoinformation science. The 4th semester may be combined with the 3rd semester to form an extended thesis.

The semester constitutes 30 ECTS credits

Prerequisites:

• A BSc degree in surveying, land management, urban planning, environmental planning, geography or study programs with similar content. Also, basic knowledge of geographic information and infor-mation technology is required.
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd semester in geoinformatics completed.
